With the many beautiful places to see in Gulf Shores and Orange Beach, biking is our favourite way to explore the area. Riding bikes is a great way to go on an adventure with family and friends. Here are a few trails to check out:
Rent a mountain bike or gravel bike and hit the trails, or a cruiser bike or electric bike for more urban bike rides.
The Gulf Shores and Orange Beach Tourism website has the Top 5 Bike Rentals in Gulf Shores, with plenty of places to rent a bike that’s suitable for the terrain you’ll be riding on.
2. Snorkelling

Put on your snorkelling gear and explore the beautiful marine life and wreck sites that the waters of Gulf Shores have to offer. The Whiskey Wreck is just 150 yards off the beach in Gulf Shores. The Wreck is in 20 feet of water, making the depth shallow enough for snorkelers.
3. Water Sports

4. Join the Festivities, Local Food and Live Music
Come along and join the festivities, with local food and live music. The Annual National Shrimp Festival has just celebrated its 49th year – with fresh seafood, live music and more family-friendly activities, this volunteer-driven event has been a tradition on the beautiful beaches of Coastal Alabama since the 1970s. October 2023 sees the Festival celebrate its 50th year!
No trip is complete without visiting the world famous Flora-bama Beach Bar.
However, there are plenty of other good local restaurants that you can check out too.

5. The Wharf

Additionally, whether it’s just shopping or visiting the second tallest Ferris Wheel in the Southeast, the Wharf is the perfect place to be when you are out for a fun-filled day.
With plenty of family-friendly things to do with your tribe, there’s also no shortage of things to do for couples and adults too.
You could take a walk down Main Street and browse in The Wharf’s friendly local shops, then enjoy drinks or a meal by the water at one of the many appetising bars and restaurants.
The Wharf Amphitheater has gigs by many top music industry performers each year. Enjoy big name acts and big sounds in an atmospheric setting.
